20 Yr RI TO THREE INCLUDING A WOMAN FOR RAPING AND SELLING A TEENAGE GIRL
Additional District and Session Judge VI, cum Special Judge POCSO, Buxar Civil court Vivek Rai awarded 20 years rigorous imprisonment to three persons including a woman and slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000 on each of them in connection with selling of a minor girl after outraging her modesty.
Buxar, 30 April 2023, (RNI): Additional District and Session Judge VI, cum Special Judge POCSO, Buxar Civil court Vivek Rai awarded 20 years rigorous imprisonment to three persons including a woman and slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000 on each of them in connection with selling of a minor girl after outraging her modesty.
Special Public Prosecutor, Suresh Kumar Singh said that Pappu Dayal, Munna Ansari and Shaheena Khatoon decoyed a teenage girl and called her to their house on September 30, 2012. They took her to Varanasi where Pappu Dayal and Munna Ansari outraged her modesty and later sold her out to a brothel in Mumbai. An FIR No 75/2014 was lodged with the police under Buxar town police station in this regard. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and recovered the girl from a brothel in Mumbai. The police also brought her to the Buxar Sadar Hospital for medical examination and produced her in the court to get her statement registered under section 164 CrPC. During hearing, the victim, doctor, police and other evidences confirmed rape and sell to the brothel.
After hearing both the parties, the ADJ VI awarded 20 years rigorous imprisonment to Pappu Dayal, Munna Ansari and Shaheena Khatoon and also slapped a fine of Rs. 20,000 on each of them.
